Junior Chef Summer Camp

We launched our first Youth Program, Junior Chef Summer Camp, in the summer of 2024 and it was a success! The Junior Chefs learned how to transform fresh fruits and veggies into healthy meals and snacks, were empowered through learning knife skills, food safety, how to read recipes, and measure ingredients.

Stay tuned for information about Junior Chef Summer Camp coming June 2025!

Partner with us: Culinary Workshops

North Valley Food Bank is dedicated to serving youth in the Flathead Valley through culinary education. Our classes teach participants how to prepare healthy, low-cost meals to nourish themselves and their families. We partner with area school districts and nonprofits to offer cooking workshops at our commercial kitchen here at the food bank. We also travel to different partner organizations to offer pop-up cooking workshops. Our partners include CRYJ, Heart Locker, and The Boys & Girls Clubs of Glacier Country.

Meals For Moms

North Valley Food Bank is partnering with the Postpartum Resource Group and other local clinics, to provide nutrient-dense meals for new moms as they heal and navigate motherhood with their growing families. The meals will be available in the store or for distribution to area gatherings such as Baby Bistro, The Circle, and even to the Birthing Center to help families get settled after they leave the hospital. We will also host workshops for moms and their support teams to learn about quick food preparation without sacrificing nutrition.
